'Not to us, Lord, not to us, but to your name give the glory for the sake of your love and your truth'. (Psalm 115:1)

Marian Sainyam was established in 1999, emerged from the inspiration of a small group of young people as a result of their prayer meetings. Initially it was a small prayer group and later it was grown into a larger community who began to conduct meditations and spiritual retreats. By the grace of God, the members in the community experienced the love of God and peace of mind. The spiritual thoughts led them to do some physical activities, and thus they decided to do some charity works.

Inspired by the charity works of Mr P.U. Thomas, the founder of the Navjeevan Trust, who has been doing charitable works for poor, the leader of the the spiritual community Mr Siju Kizhakkedathuprayil, a resident of a small village called Manjoor began to work among the homeless and helpless, mentally and physically disabled people who used to live in the streets. As he couldn't find a residence for those deprived people, he courageously admitted them in to his own house and treared them as family members. The official inauguration of this event was on 15th of August 2003. He was well supported by his family. He looked after them with love, mercy and patience; thus a lot of changes occured in thier lives. They themselves felt as dignified human beings rather to unwanted street wanderers. More people were attracted by his work and started helping out Siju. The Catholic Diocese of Pala found no problems in officially approving his work. By 2005 there were more than 15 orphans in the home and they were moved to a new building when more helps poured in to it from different directions.

They were able to branch out sections specifically for food, medicines and activities for the orphans. By 2007, they were fully and officially operational with two sections: one for the paralized and the other for the mentally disabled residents.

By the end of 2011, Marian Sainyam had helped to recover almost 750 orphans through their troubles. Now, 2013, there are nearly 30 residents in the care home.

Presently, Mariyan Sainyam do evangelization in UK as well as having prayer groups.

'By God's grace that is what I am, and the grace that he gave me has not been fruitless. On the contrary, I, or rather the grace of God that is with me, have worked hader than any of the others; but what matters is that I preach what they preach, and this is what you all believed' (1 Corinthians 15: 10-11)

Siju Paulose - founder of Mariyan Sainyam

The word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”

“Alas, Sovereign Lord,” I said, “I do not know how to speak; I am too young.”

But the Lord said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am too young.’ You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the Lord. (JEREMIAH 1:4-8)
